Mia doesn't answer at once. First she tells her friends and Jo. Then she writes back: “OK. But we meet inside the club, and Jo will be there. Those are my rules.” After a long time, ghost_15 answers: “OK. Fair.”

Jo says, “Good rules. I'll be in the office, and I'll leave the door open.” Sam says, “And we'll be in the kitchen. We won't come out if everything's OK. I promise.” Leo has another idea. “My dad has a camera. A good one. I'll ask him. He'll say yes now. We're friends again.” Jo adds, “I'll get the key for the school hall on the Friday before the show, so you can practise.” Everyone has a job.

Mia looks at the list: Priya, Noah, Sam's cousin. Three acts. And one helper: “Sound and lights: G.” She takes a deep breath. “OK. I'll do it. I'll draw on stage.” She writes her name: Mia, live drawing. Four acts. The friends cheer. But first, there's Saturday. 10 am. The meeting.
